Pantry Pickup Program
If you have nonperishables you wish to donate, schedule a Pickup, and we’ll send a volunteer to your home to collect your items and distribute them out to communities in need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I put my items?
Kindly leave your items outside in a box or bag, where they are easily visible and accessible to our volunteers.
Do you accept expired items?
While we prefer in-date items, certain items are still usable within a brief window of expiration. Our volunteers will sort through all donations to ensure quality and freshness, but we ask donors to use their best judgement.
What can I donate?
We accept any nonperishable, unopened food.
Where do my items go?
Your items will be taken back to the We Share Hope warehouse in Rumford, where they will be sorted and distributed out to communities in need. For more information about who we serve, read our mission statement here.
What are the benefits?
By donating, you are helping feed Rhode Islanders who face food insecurity, and helping reduce food waste in your community.
What day/time will my items be picked up?
After you sign-up for a Pickup, we will notify you of your Pickup Day through the phone number and/or email address you provided. A volunteer will collect your items between a window of 8 am and 3 pm. Please leave your items outside before 8 am to ensure that they are not missed. We will send you a reminder!
Who will be picking up my items?
Our local Pantry Pickup volunteers will collect your items. They can be identified by their orange We Share Hope t-shirts, and We Share Hope car magnets.
